Byron Bay has hosted an annual festival of Argentine Tango for over 20 years. It features immersion classes with international teachers and performers, live music by the national exponents of tango music, performance art and dancing to a variety of DJs.
While attendance is restricted to pass holders, the general public is welcome to experience tango dancing at a beginners' class on Sunday.
There is also an opportunity to see the performance by international stars Bruno Tombari and Rocio Lequio on Saturday night. For music lovers, the fabulous concert of Astor Piazzolla music is a must. This year it will feature the "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires". Tickets for the concert must be booked seperately to your tickets for the Tango festival.
