Homelessness in Byron Shire

Byron Shire has the largest cohort of rough sleepers in NSW

Recent statistics* on homelessness in NSW shows Byron Shire has the largest cohort of locals sleeping rough in the state, higher than the City of Sydney. There were 300 rough sleepers counted across the Byron Shire in February 2023. This needs to change!

Our Fletcher Street Cottage team are working hard to respond to this crisis and meet the needs of locals who are doing it tough, through essential services and practical support - but we need your help!
