Women’s Space Garden, Service Coordination and Housing Success

This week at Fletcher Street Cottage we’ve been busy supporting our community, connecting services and celebrating positive outcomes. Here’s a snapshot of what happened.

Highlights

• During Women’s Space, service users worked together to create a Flower and Herb Garden kindly sponsored by Zonta Northern Rivers, providing a relaxing and therapeutic activity.
• On Wednesday, we attended our Service Coordination Meeting, which brings together key organisations including Homes NSW, Social Futures, My Momentum, Byron Shire Council Backbone Team, Public Space Liaison Officers, Northern Rivers Housing and NSW Health. These meetings ensure collaboration and coordinated care to support people experiencing homelessness.
• We were thrilled to hear of a successful housing outcome for one of our service users through the Assertive Outreach Program, highlighting the impact of partnership and ongoing advocacy in helping clients achieve stability.
