This week at Fletcher Street Cottage, we’ve celebrated meaningful milestones, collaborated with essential partners and continued to support those who need it most. Here’s a look at what’s been happening at our community services hub.
Highlights:
- We are thrilled to share that a long-term rough sleeper has secured housing after being supported by the Assertive Outreach Byron Program for several months. This is an incredible outcome, especially as wait times for housing can often be lengthy. We’re so happy for them as they take this positive step forward.
- Community Correction, First Light Health Care, Epic Assist and the Homeless Health Outreach Mental Health team all worked out of Fletcher Street Cottage this week, continuing their invaluable support for our clients.
- We were able to facilitate contact between a client and his family, helping to alleviate worry and stress. Connecting with loved ones can make a world of difference, and we're grateful to have played a role in this reunion.
- Over the week, we supported 275 people, with 15 new clients seeking support. We continue to be a safe, welcoming space for those in need of services and assistance.
