Stone & Wood is proud to announce that this year’s Festival of the Stone has raised an incredible $24,554 in support of Fletcher Street Cottage, a vital community hub providing services and support for people experiencing homelessness in the Byron Shire.
Held on Saturday 14 June at Stone & Wood’s Byron Bay brewery, the annual festival welcomed 2,000 locals and visitors for an evening of live music, good beer, food trucks and good times, all in celebration of the brewery’s seasonal Stone Beer and commitment to giving back to the community.
The funds raised will go directly towards supporting Fletcher Street Cottage to deliver vital services and programs for locals experiencing homelessness and hardship. This includes meals, showers, crisis relief, housing support and a dedicated Women's Space.
Damian Farrell, Manager, Fletcher Street Cottage said “Festival of the Stone was such a joyful, uplifting event - the creativity, energy and love that Stone & Wood bring to this celebration is truly inspiring. It’s not only a night of great music and good vibes, but a beautiful example of community coming together to support those doing it tough. On behalf of everyone at Fletcher Street Cottage and the people we walk alongside every day - thank you for showing up, sharing the love and making a real impact.”
Kate Love, Communications Manager, Byron Community Centre, added that the funds will make a meaningful impact for those doing it tough in the region. “We're so grateful for the continued support from Festival of the Stone. These funds make a real difference on the ground - helping us provide dignity, safety and connection for those doing it tough in our community. It’s incredible to see a music festival deliver not just a fantastic night out, but a powerful example of partying with purpose."
Paul Tansley of Stone & Wood’s echoed the brewery’s commitment to local causes. “Festival of the Stone has always been about more than just beer, it’s about connection, celebration, and community. We’re incredibly proud to partner with Fletcher Street Cottage again this year and help raise awareness and funds for the crucial work they do in our backyard.”
Since its inception, Festival of the Stone has raised over $100,000 for local charities and is now a highlight on Byron’s music calendar.
Stone & Wood extends huge thanks to the artists and everyone who made the 2025 edition such a success, especially the music loving community who showed up and made it one to remember!
