The holiday season is a time for connection, joy and giving back to the community. Byron Community Centre is proud to present an incredible opportunity to spread cheer and support families facing financial hardship through the Adopt a Family Christmas Appeal.
This heartwarming initiative invites individuals and organisations to extend a helping hand to selected families by creating special hampers filled with quality non-perishable festive foods, gifts and vouchers valued at $100. Families in need are identified through Fletcher Street Cottage and food rescue service Liberation Larder.
Here's how you can play a part in making this holiday season extra special:
Step 1: Choose a Family
From our carefully curated list, select a family you'd like to support. Each family is identified by a unique number.
Step 2: Confirm Your Adoption
Reach out to the Byron Community Centre at (02) 6685 6807 and provide the number of the family you've chosen to adopt. This step helps us update our records and ensures families aren't duplicated in the generosity of our community.
Step 3: Create a Thoughtful Hamper
Put together a heartfelt hamper filled with festive items that will bring joy to the chosen family. Aim for a value of $100 in non-perishable foods, gifts and vouchers.
Step 4: Deliver Your Gift
Bring your assembled hamper to the Byron Community Centre reception on Wednesday 13th December. We'll ensure that your thoughtful donations reach the families in time for the holidays.
