Volunteer Week (19–25 May 2025) is a time to recognise the people who dedicate their time and energy to helping others. Volunteers are the heart of Byron Community Centre and our programs – from Fletcher Street Cottage to Byron Theatre and everything in between. Without them, we wouldn’t be the same community. As we prepare for this special week, we want to thank them for everything they do for us and for the people of our region.
Our volunteers are the driving force behind everything we do. They bring their skills, passion, and time to enrich the lives of people in Byron. From the breakfast service at Fletcher Street Cottage to vital roles at Byron Theatre very single contribution matters. This week, we’re taking the opportunity to thank all our volunteers for their tireless commitment and care.
Volunteering is about more than simply getting things done. It’s about building belonging and creating meaningful connections. Our volunteers are not just helpers – they are mentors, listeners, and friends. They make sure that everyone who walks through our doors feels seen, heard, and supported. This week, we’re celebrating the powerful bonds formed through volunteering.
Whether you want to learn new skills, offer your existing talents, orsimply give back, there are many ways to get involved. We’re looking forvolunteers across a variety of programs – from breakfast service at FletcherStreet Cottage to roles at Byron Theatre and beyond. Your contribution makes areal difference – and you’ll join a supportive, purpose-driven community.
