An experienced Tax Help volunteer is available for eligible individuals needing tax assistance. The Byron Community Centre offers free Tax Help on Tuesdays from 10a.m. to 1p.m. from August 13th to October 8th, 2024. We provide a private, equipped space. Our volunteer Reception Team will book appointments guided by the Tax eligibility chart, and applicants will receive a confirmation detailing the required documentation.
If you earn about $60,000 or less each year, you may qualify for the Australian Taxation Office's (ATO) community-based Tax Help program. This free and confidential service is available from mid-July to September at the Byron Community Centre. ATO-trained volunteers can help you lodge your return, claim a refund of franking credits, submit a non-lodgment advice, or lodge an amendment.
Tax Help is offered in person at tax centres across Australia, online and by phone, making it accessible even in rural or remote locations.
