
From 22 July to 31 October, Byron Community Centre is offering free Tax Help appointments to support eligible locals with lodging their online tax returns. If you earn around $70,000 or less, you may be eligible to receive free assistance from our accredited Tax Help Volunteers.
If you earn about $70,000 or less each year, you may qualify for the Australian Taxation Office's (ATO) community-based Tax Help program. This free and confidential service is available from 22 July to 31 October at the Byron Community Centre. ATO-trained volunteers can help you lodge your return, claim a refund of franking credits, submit a non-lodgement advice or lodge an amendment.
Tax Help is offered in person at tax centres across Australia, online and by phone, making it accessible even in rural or remote locations.


Byron Community Centre offers free Tax Help with an experienced volunteer. Appointments are available between 22 July to 31 October. Please book your appointment through our Reception Team, who will guide you through the eligibility chart and ensure you receive a confirmation detailing the required documentation.
