We believe in harnessing the power of running to transform lives, empowering those at risk or experiencing homelessness to lace up their shoes, conquer marathons and reclaim their journey. Through the rhythm of each stride and the collective support of our community, we're not just racing towards finish lines - we're breaking barriers, rewriting stories and creating a pathway to a brighter, more hopeful future.
The Off The Street On Our Feet journey began with a belief in the transformative power of running for those facing homelessness. This partnership program is a beacon of hope, creating a community where health, wellbeing and resilience intersect. Founded and led by Mathew Broster, a former service user at Fletcher Street Cottage, the team of rough sleepers conquered marathons, raising funds for our homelessness services. From the Gold Coast to Mullumbimby, the team surpassed physical and personal barriers, advocating for change and supporting vital services. Their story is one of triumph and empowerment, echoing the determination of those who've faced the challenges of rough sleeping and addiction.
