Art Space is a place where creativity meets community. Our weekly sessions provide a welcoming environment for individuals facing homelessness, stress or mental health challenges, offering them an outlet for self-expression and healing.
Every Thursday, 9:30am – 11am
Creativity can be a powerful tool for emotional healing. Through painting, drawing and other artistic expressions, participants have the opportunity to process emotions, reduce stress and build self-confidence. Each session is guided by Jennifer Abed, a Community Support Worker, ensuring that art becomes not only a form of expression but also a step toward recovery and personal growth.
Building Connection and Confidence
At Art Space, art is just the beginning. The program fosters a sense of belonging, encouraging participants to connect with one another in a supportive and non-judgemental space. Whether sharing stories over a canvas or simply enjoying the creative process together, each session strengthens community ties and promotes personal wellbeing.
Finding Strength in Expression
For many participants, Art Space is more than a weekly art session. It’s a turning point. By engaging in creativity, individuals can regain confidence, develop new skills and rediscover hope for the future. The impact extends far beyond the courtyard, helping people navigate their challenges with renewed strength and perspective.
