Stella Day Out is a one day celebration of women’s writing, storytelling and creativity. This inspiring festival brings together some of Australia’s most exciting writers and artists for a full day of conversation, connection, and performance. Audiences will be treated to thought provoking discussions on culture and creativity, intimate reflections on the writing craft, and powerful readings that showcase the depth and diversity of Australian literature.
The Byron Bay program features an extraordinary line up of voices including award winning novelist and essayist Charlotte Wood, memoirist and novelist Jessie Cole from Northern NSW, celebrated writer of fiction and memoir Krissy Kneen, Stella Prize winner Mirandi Riwoe, bestselling author and former teacher Gabbie Stroud, poet and arts critic Zenobia Frost, and 2023 Miles Franklin Literary Award winner Shankari Chandran. Alongside them, additional guest speakers and performers will add further richness to the day.
From lively panels and intimate author conversations to engaging performances and opportunities to connect with writers, Stella Day Out invites the community to celebrate the power of storytelling and the voices shaping our times.
