Job description

  • Permanent Part-Time (30 hours over 4 or 5 days)
  • Based Byron Bay
  • $100k–$110k + Super FTE (not eligible for salary packaging)
  • Impactful fundraising role (Fletcher Street Cottage, Byron Theatre,  Byron Community Centre & more)

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time position located in the heart of Byron Bay (Jonson St), within our not-for-profit, charitable organisation.

The Byron Community Centre is an independent charity that relies on donations, grants and revenue from our commercial businesses to deliver community events, services and programs. These include Fletcher Street Cottage, Byron Theatre, Byron Markets and the Byron Seniors Club.

About the Role

The Relationships Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of community impact across the region. You'll lead the development and delivery of our fundraising and partnership strategy. From major donor engagement and philanthropic development through to grassroots community campaigns, working closely with a small but mighty management team.

The focus is on building long-term relationships that create tangible change in people's lives, and sustaining the services that matter to our community. This is a busy, hands-on role in a small NFP structure, you'll need to be just as comfortable with day-to-day implementation as you are shaping strategy.

We're looking for someone who can connect people to purpose and demonstrate the impact of giving in meaningful and compelling ways. It's a rare opportunity to work across the full spectrum of fundraising, from our major donors to grassroots storytelling, while helping to shape a more compassionate future for Byron Bay.
